Visualizer, puppet builder, performer

Outi Herrainsilta is a freelance-puppeteer and scenographer. She works mainly as a visual designer and performer. In puppetry her strengths are puppet building, performing, set and costume design. Herrainsilta graduated from Turku Arts Academy puppetry line of studies in 2005 and got her set and costume design degree from Aalto University in 2012. Currently she lives in Helsinki, but both her and her work will move if needed to another city.

In puppetry Herrainmaa is fascinated with new projects or performances she’s working on, different faces, body shapes, the rhythm of the space, and dramaturgy. Herrainsilta collects rubber ducks, currently owning 58 of them.

Herrainsilta has worked e.g. as a guest scenographer at Ryhmäteatteri and Lappeenranta City Theatre, as an exhibition designer at Finland’s toy museum Hevosenkenkä and as a puppet builder and performer at the different compositions on the free field.
