Turku International Puppetry Festival is held 12.–15.11.2026. This year’s festival is the first biennial edition of TIP-fest and the theme of the year is “communities”.

The festival’s main venue is Cultural Factory Manilla, and performances will also take place at the Turku City Theater, Children’s cultural centre Färi, and Åbo Svenska Teater.

Become a volunteer

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in puppetry and eager to assist the 16th edition of TIP-fest. Volunteer tasks include ticket sales, transportation and catering. 

How to Apply:
To volunteer, please provide your details, preferred tasks, and availability. While we aim to accommodate your preferences, flexibility is appreciated due to the dynamic nature of the festival. Please submit your application by 16 October 2026.

As a thank you, volunteers will receive a festival pass (STAFF pass), allowing you to enjoy performances outside your shift, space permitting. You will also get snacks during each shift. For shifts longer than 6 hours, a warm meal is also included. Volunteers are also warmly welcome to the festival after-party on 15.11.2026.

The volunteer INFO session takes place 4.  November at 17:00 at Aura of Puppets Puppet studio (Itäinen rantakatu 64B). We are excited to see you there!
