Teater Håndholdt & Nordic Puppet Ambassadors: The Hermit

The Hermit is a puppet theatrical walking performance and installation about the desire to disappear from society, search for peace and live in solitude. This meditative solo performance is performed one-on-one. The performance has been inspired by the life of a Danish hermit Christian Vandet Jørgensen who lived in the beginning of the 20th century.

The Hermit premiered in Roskilde June 2022. It visits Tehdas Theatre in Turku August 2023 and during TIP-Fest the performance features in amore urban environment. The small walking performance takes over the old storage area of an old printing house.
