Teatteri Qo & Karavan: VSKHNA

“In the experience of art, a peculiar exchange takes place; I lend my emotions and associations to the space and the space lends me its aura” Juhani Pallasmaa, the eyes of the skin

After three days between four walls, a quarantined traveller opens a map. Somewhere around the Gulf Stream, he finds the aerial city VSKNHA, where all laws of gravity and logic have disappeared. All vowels are disappeared too. All but one…

VSKNHA is a puppet production for young viewers and adults. It is an explosion of imagination born in the conditions of quarantine; a Dadaist poem that unfolds like a chain reaction.

TeatteriQo is a Franco-Finnish puppetry company that combines poetry and politics on stage. Encounters, collaboration and poetic freedom are the cornerstones of the group’s work. Through unexpected associations and visual collages, surprises, humour, tragedy and a sharp sense of detail, the company brings out a shifted perception of the everyday. The performances resonate in the audience, planting seeds for thoughts that bring up bursts of laughter even days later.
