IMPULSE! – New Focus on Puppetry and Visual Theatre
A two-year project that aims to promote European contemporary puppetry and visual theatre by developing sustainable touring structures, creating networks, and enhancing professional development for artists and producers – as well as introducing new audiences to ambitious international performances.
The project focuses on Northern and Southern Europe: project partners are situated in Finland, Lithuania and Portugal and share similar challenges related to geographical location and lack of access to Central European touring networks and educational institutions.
The three partner institutions – Aura of Puppets (FI), A Tarumba – Teatro de Marionetas (PT) and Kosmos Theatre (LT)- are all invested in developing visual theatre and puppetry as ambitious, innovative, contemporary artforms and reaching wider and more diverse audiences both locally and internationally.
